Post 9 - Zoom
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically Zoom in the software list. https://www.zoom.com/
Description of the tool: Zoom is a video conferencing web-based application that helps people connect via video, audio, or chat. Here is a YouTube video tutorial of how to use zoom, https://youtu.be/VomOzeE7Z-k?si=I7g-8le6pelUQx-l
Ease of use: Zoom is relatively easy to use, it is user-friendly. It is easy to join video calls and using emails for invitations and meeting information.
Versatility: Zoom can be used for any type of meeting or group event. You can have all different quantities of groups included one-on-one or large group conferences.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: I will likely use this technology tool if I have any online meetings for either staff or classroom events.
Connection: Zoom can connect to PICRAT in the CT section because this is a video conferencing technology. It could also be in the PT section as well
Hi Jordan!
ReplyDeleteI thought you did a great job of explaining Zoom. This technology is helpful when we have unexpected events happening during school. I personally am not a fan of this technology in my classroom because of the amount of uses in a school year. The only use I see is with other staff or parents like you mentioned. I do think it is easy to set up, but I think there is other ways for students to receive learning. For example, creating a pre recorded lecture on google classroom. Thank you for sharing.
