Post 1 - Google Slides
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically Google Slides in the hardware list. https://workspace.google.com/products/slides/
Description of the tool: Google slides as a free online Google application for creating presentations and slideshows.
Ease of use: Since this is an online tool, you can access Google slides on any device as long as you can sign into your email. To gain a better understanding how to navigate and use Google Slides, here is a YouTube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9mwK_zRSxA
Versatility: This tool is a cloud-based application that allows people to share and collaborate together on presentations on multiple mobile devices with internet access.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: This technology is overall likely to be incorporated into my classroom because this is helpful resource when it comes to organizing and teaching lessons.
Connection: We have not yet discussed this technology within our course. However, Dr. Wang has used Powerpoint, which is a similar technology to display his lessons.
Hi Jordan. I thought you did a great job of explaining the idea of google slides. I agree that google slides is a tool that will be used in my future teaching as well. I just wanted to add on that it is a technology that is easier to format for students compared to Canva. I like that Google Slides is pretty easy to use because you can just add information, pictures, and a background to make your slides look nice. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHi Jordan! I think Google Slides is my preferred slide maker over Powerpoint as it seems to be easier to use. I also like that it connects to my Google Drive and other Google apps as well as being easy to share with other people. I think I would use Google sides in my classroom as a quick and easy way to make lessons and give projects to students.
