Post 12 - Google Forms
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically Google Forms from the software list. https://workspace.google.com/products/forms/
Description of the tool: Google Forms is an online tool provided for free to people use to make surveys, quizzes and to organize collections of data. Teachers have used this technology to assess students, receive feedback, and other classroom activities. Here is a YouTube tutorial on how to navigate Google Forms. https://youtu.be/wQ7jNpwdWDs?si=_nduwQG4jPcFBHrB
Ease of use: Google Forms is a drag and drop technology. Google Forms allows teachers to easily make questions, add visuals and videos, as well as share forms with their students.
Versatility: Google Forms gives teachers and any other people the option to create quizzes, polls, reflections, exit tickets, surveys, and other communication tasks. Google Forms can also connect with Office 365 applications such as google classroom, sheets, etc.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: I am not sure I will use this technology because I have not used this and I think that I would rather use paper for some of these listed activities that others use Google Forms.
Connection: Google Forms relates to the PICRAT model. Specifically to the P in PICRAT which is Passive. On Google Forms students can fill out surveys and quizzes and submit answers or feedback.
Hi Jordan! I too am not very familiar with facilitating Google Forms; however I have used this tool as a student. I am not opposed to becoming more familiar with this tool, as it seems like a great way to assess understanding or receive feedback. I like how you emphasized the versatility of Google forms, it has persuaded me into wanting to know more!
ReplyDeleteHi Jordan, this sounds like a really cool tool to use for quizzes, polls reflections, etc. Also, I did not know it was apart of the google world because I only know about words and slides. Lastly, I liked how you connected it to PICRAT. Great Job!
