Post 11 - Youtube TV
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically Youtube TV in the technologies list. https://tv.youtube.com/welcome/
Description of the tool: Youtube TV is a live television streaming service used to watch a plethora of channels ranging from kids television, to sports, to documentaries. Here is a YouTube tutorial on how to navigate the streaming service. https://youtu.be/poqWgjonWM0?si=5KVgG3jcINUIIWk3
Ease of use: Users can easily search for channels, shows, or movies on different devices. You only need a google account linked to start your streaming service.
Versatility: Anyone can subscribe to YouTube tv and it supplies all sorts of different material to watch, kids, adults, professionals, sports, etc.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: I don't think I will use Youtube TV in my classroom because the subscription is relatively expensive and I think there are other technology tools that are free or less expensive that can replace this technology.
Connection: Youtube TV connects to the P in PICRAT because they are able to watch any programs and build educational background knowledge. For example, animal plant or National Geographic.
Hi Jordan!
ReplyDeleteI love YouTube TV because of the wide range of shows, documentaries, and sports it has to offer. I also agree that it is expensive and most likely won't use it in my classroom, but I remember my teachers and principal using it during the World Cup so we could watch all the matches! Great job!
Hi Jordan!! You did an amazing job on this post. I personally think YouTube is a great resource to use for the classroom. Both as a teacher looking for ways to structure lessons and enhancing material for student engagement. I agree that it's very versatile and easy to use. I thought your analysis of connections to class frameworks was spot on!
