Versatility: Google Classroom is highly versatile across multiple different teaching situations. It is easy to integrate into the school environment. Google classroom is able to be used between multiple classes and courses with different forms of resources for teaching. It also works seamlessly with other Google tools including Google Docs, Meets, and Drive.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: I am more familiar with Canvas so it is unlikely that I will be using this technology in my classroom.
Connection: This technology can be connected to the TLC framework in Tier 2 and 3; Assessing and Instructing. You are able to instruct your students as well as see their progress.
Hi Jordan, I like how you gave a clear and simple explanation of Google Classroom and how it connects to teaching and learning. I agree that it’s a really practical tool, especially with how well it works with other Google apps like Docs and Drive, it makes managing assignments and communication a lot easier. Even if you prefer Canvas, it’s great that you can still see how Google Classroom fits into the TLC framework, especially for assessing and instructing. I think that kind of flexibility is what makes it so popular with teachers.
