Post 6 - Canvas
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT about previous T3PP results. Specifically Canvas in the hardware list. https://canvas.ewu.edu/login/canvas
Description of the tool: Canvas is a learning management system for kindergarten through university level students. Canvas provides an area where students can complete courses, modules, and assignments. It allows for online and hybrid learning. Here is a tutorial of how to use Canvas as a student: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVfkFD45hL0
Ease of use: Canvas is very easy to use with a clear dashboard for your courses and assignments, it has a consistent structure throughout the interface and it also has a calendar and to-do list to be able to see all of your assignments and know what you have due.
Versatility: Canvas is versatile for all levels of students. You can also use Canvas on both your computer and mobile device.
Overall likelihood of using it in your classroom: I will most likely use this application in my future teaching because most schools use this tool for students to complete assignments.
Connection: Canvas connects to the TLC Tier 2 Assessing. Teachers are able to see students turned in assignments and test results and see how well they are understanding the material.
Hi Jordan!
ReplyDeleteCanvas is an amazing tool because it can keep a teachers content all in one place. I love how it can automatically grade quizzes and you have the ability to make announcements, feedback, and track students progress as well. I would love to use Canvas in my classroom because of how beneficial and easy it is to use.
Great job!
